Mmmmmmmmm! I love cabbage (to my husband’s horror!). I’ll most certainly try the cabbage and bacon recipe! I’ll gonna have to do a lot of converting to cups and such though. Thanks for your meal ideas :)

Hi Mehdi, I’ve read up on this diet before on other websites and was wondering if it would be beneficial with a very high volume, high intensity exercise schedule. I really have wanted to try it for a while but I train twice a day for Mixed Martial Arts and can’t see myself being able to survive on no carbs. Thanks in advance

    Josh,

The Anabolic Diet can be combined with MMA. Get your calories & be sure to go high in carbs during the weekend.

First weeks will be tough, but the longer you’re on the diet, the better you’ll do. After a while you can try a midweek carbup if needed.

Thank you for your quick response. I’ll probably try to make a diet and see what you think and try it soon afterwards.

    Josh,

Look very good to me. Lots of fat, lots of protein, no carbs. All good for the Anabolic Diet.

If you don’t have time in the morning, maybe you do in the evening. Multitask: cook several meal/servings. Makes it easier.

Went grocery shopping today and started the diet at about 5pm here. I cooked up some stake with olive oil and lemon but only ate a little of it, also had some spinach, turkey and mayo. Had jui-jitsu at 7-830 and felt pritty drained near the end. Came home had some berries, whey and aminos and still feel hungry. Gonna have some salmon in a minute with broccoli. Can’t wait till the hunger ends =]

Get your calories Josh. You shouldn’t be hungry. Carbs craving ok, hungry no. Go for 18x your bodyweight in lbs at least as a starter (20x if you have to). And be sure to get your fats & eat lots of veggies.
