Another awesome month. Sean migrated StrongLifts.com to a new server. Linode now hosts everything. Great experience so far: more features than the previous host and cheaper. Everything runs a lot smoother.

You can keep a training log for free in the forum. Record the weights you lifted and how you felt. Get advice from other members and compete with them. The training logs are great motivators. I highly recommend you to start one.

You can discuss blog posts in the article section. I’m committed to answer your questions, even if they’re controversial. I’m open minded and don’t pretend to know everything. Please join the convo with the same mindset.

Vagabonding.
I’m leaving to Spain in a few days for 6 week vagabonding trip. I’ll be walking the Via De La Plata solo. 1000km walk from Sevilla to Gijon. Will take rest days in between to visit cities.

I won’t go online for 6 weeks but you’ll keep getting articles. I won’t be active on the forum but the moderators will keep things in check. Fitness coaching is closed and I won’t check any emails.

Walking with a 7kg backpack will be my only training. I’ll try to eat healthy, but predict weight loss from the long walks. I don’t care about strength/muscle loss or fat gains though since I know it will come back when I return.

I didn’t prepare physically. Only thing I did is research equipment, how to avoid blisters, learned Spanish, … I expect soreness and the hot weather might get hard, but I think Squats have built the necessary willpower.

Part of me doesn’t want to leave since I like my life here so much. But I know that if I don’t force myself to take a break from everything once in a while and keep pushing myself out of my comfort zone, I’ll never do anything.
