Yeah I'll agree with Andy on this one, I used the same whey cept I used frozen veggies, I only added a few drops of olive oil tho, and it tasted horrible, but it felt healthy, felt good after drinking it.

Andy,

This is the problem with recipes. When the ingredients change, so does the end result.

The difference in taste could be caused by using different brands (whey) or different ingredients (fresh vs frozen veggies). Or it could just be a difference in taste ;)

Would be good if other reader posts their experience.

Anyway, thanks for sharing yours Andy.

BTW I was so exited form this receipt yesterday , I even bought bottle of cold pressed olive oil and flax oil (russian brand "ljnjanoe maslo").
And Whey Brand is "Sport Pharma" Vanilla. I am not sure if I can handle this breakfast with chocolate Sport Pharma :P

Also , Broccoli and berries was fresh , not frozen

Andy,

What brand of whey are you using? Like I wrote above, most of the taste comes from the Whey. The quality of the whey you're using will influence the end result (I use vanilla flavor too btw).

The olive oil will also influence the taste. Go for extra virgin, cold pressing. It's more expensive, but tastes totally different for that reason.

If it still tastes bad, maybe you just need to get used to it ;)

Thanks for sharing Andy.

Just tried it today.
Looks terrible. Taste terrible (may be 'cause my whey is vanilla-flavored).
But incredible healthy ...

RZ,

I'm on the <a href="http://stronglifts.com/10-reasons-you-should-get-on-the-anabolic-diet/" rel="nofollow">Anabolic Diet</a>. I eat high amounts of fat & no carbs during the week.

If you're on a high/medium carbs diet, this might be too much fat. Olive oil is 15g fat per tablespoon. Remove one tablespoon & you'll have 25g of fat at breakfast.

It all comes down to personal preferences. Great question RZ.

Taste is subjective. To me it tastes great. You'll taste the whey more than the broccolli actually.

Just try it. I think you'll like it.

thanks for another recipe, not much of a brocolli fan, but i might surprise myself and enjoy this. going to try some of your others first though, i need something other than cereal to get me going in the morning. also, just as a catchup, the wrist's better, and after a little training, went and my max was up, so, the few days off didn't hurt.
