I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

As most people do every new year i decided i had moaned about my weight and fitness for to long and decided this was the year id get fit. Not sure on how to do this a friend gave me the stronglifts e-book. I read it and was instantly interested although id never really done free weights only machine i thought id give it a try. 4 weeks after starting the program i cant see me ever stopping it, im totaly hooked and my motivation is at an all time high in my whole 25 years existence. When i started i weighed 92kg with body fat at 24%. I also started on the empty bar as advised in the program. Now my weight is 88kg with a body fat of 20%, that being just under 5kg loss of fat and around 1kg increase in muscle mass.
My current weights im lifting after 4 weeks are:
Squat 45kg
Bench press 42.5kg
Overhead press 32.5kg
Deadlift 70kg
Anyone reading this who isnt already doing stronglifts 5x5 my advise is definetly give it a try and judge for yourself after a month if you want to continue or not, i guess that you would!!

Good work, and good attitude. You should get a training log started. They are the best testimonials to the effectiveness of the program.

I second that.

In your case, as your weight reduces, your goal of BW squat gets nearer. It was the other way round for me.

Yeah keep eating loads and lift, a slight deload from time to time will help with form also and plateaus.
