I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Today I hit my summer goal! Squatted 225 lbs (102ish kg) 5x5. Absolutely killer, but I'm thrilled. This was my #1 goal of the summer, and this was also my last day at this gym, and since I'm heading over to Germany in a week, I may not be able to lift for ten days or so. So just in time to meet it "this summer."

Nice lifting man,

150kg achieved :-)

Also deadlifted 175kg!

Had to dig real deep on the last set of squats.

Kickass! You're in a club of your own!!! I hope to hit that some day... sadly since I started this topic I've been grinding away on form and have not added any weight to my squat PR. :(

I hit my short-term goal of 225 (1.5XBW) on squats last night! Feels great meeting the goal and puts me in the 100kg squat club!

On the Lighter Side:

I will never be able to hit 100 Kgs. My weight is 60 kgs so 60X1.5 = 90Kgs :) That's my target ain't it :)

Great Post - This website, this forum and its supportive members are really doing a great job of encouraging each other and making gymming a much funner and wholesome deal!

Hey Tranquilized - Don't sell yourself short. You're just starting out. You never know what level you might reach if you keep at it - 1.5xBW is only medium-term goal for SL5x5 but doesn't define your potential.
Bob - 48 yr old, 5'10", currently 185 lbs (down from 220+ in Dec 08)
SL5x5 max's as of 11/20/09
Squat -225 lbs Bench - 180 lbs
DL - 320 lbs. BB Row - 170 lbs
OHP - 120 lbs
