I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Finally, joining the club. Today I hit 100 kilos on squat (3x5).
It took me 48 workout sessions (16 workout weeks) to achieve this weight starting at complete (half a year) deconditioned state.
Felt so alive hitting that weight each set.

actually 4 big plates since 90 kilos :)
15kg and 20kg rubberized plates are almost the same size (diameter) in my gym, they just weigh differently and have different numbers on them :)

I just hit the 100kg mark today. Have never done 1rms so it was amazing to do the 5x5 100kg. After the first set, i thought I have to do all 5 because no way am i going below 100 again (massive psychological wall)!!!

You just gotta love stronglifts 5x5.

I also joined this club last Friday. It felt great to hit this milestone. It did not feel too heavy at all so I am hopeful for some more good progress before I hit any issues.

It is amazing how quickly the time has gone by. I remember when I first started and felt that everything was really light and I could not wait to get some more weight on the bar. Well there is some more weight on the bar now and I am now no longer in a rush to put more weight on the bar. How things change. :)

1RM 100 kg on 27/09/09 after 1 month / 15 sessions.
5x5 100 kg on 08/10/09 after 6 weeks / 20 sessions.

Feels good throwing on four plates+, at least until about the third set...

Did the 5x5 100kg squat for the first time yesterday! My weights are in pounds though so I have to weight for tomorrow to have the four big wheels on there. Hope I can hit it!

Thanks Grole! Unfortunately hit a massive failure my third try at 225 lbs (102.5kg) and had to deload last week. I think my CNS was saying back off after pushing hard the last 6-8 weeks. No worries though, will be back up there in a couple of weeks.

Let me in too, 5x5 100kg this afternoon. Hasn't taken as long as I thought it would, form a little spotty but I'm stoked to be in triple figures on another lift. Now if I can shift past 45kg (a hair over 1/2 BW) on OHP.....

I'll be attempting my 100kg squat on Saturday, I found 97.4 hard but I managed it. Is it ok to stick to 100kg for a few sessions so my form and everything is really good? then i'll continue to add weight?

@insane. Yes you should stick at a weight until you can lift the weight with good form.

In the Stronglifts 5x5 the lift only counts when completed with good form, and the same should apply to any other lifting 'program'.

Lifting weights at the 100kg sort of mark or higher without good form is risking your health. Go back to a weight you can handle with good form and work back up from there.

I see 100kg as good progress so I'll try and really master it first - and stop my shaky knee! lol
