People who brag about their bench presses usually know little about real lifting. People who know about real lifting don't usually brag about their bench press.
I wasn't trying to say that 405 at 160 is not impressive though.
But he's not teaching - or setting an example. He's not a strength trainer. Why can't someone be really good at calculus and not trigonometry?
Some people want to be well-rounded, fine. Some want to specialise, fine.
And yeah, it's powerlifters who care about their 'big three' totals, but not everyone who lifts has to be a powerlifter.
He's just a regular guy with a big bench - good for him.
