I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

I just wish people realise the benefits of strength training right from an early age. It will help in so many ways apart from just building strength.

BTW, i think the girl can be a pretty good track and field athlete if she wants too....2.5xBW Deadlift is huge and means a very high mass specific force. Yea she would definitly be good at sprints. Just an educated guess though!

It sort of looked like she was going to herniate a disk when she was doing that max lift... maybe that's just what you look like when you lift with a belt.

It's just how you look when you do a max lift, she did hyperextend pretty badly at the top though.

I wish there were female powerlifters around here. Or even females who touch barbells.

I probably look like that too on max lifts i guess. That being said i definitely applaud her lifting weights.

God bless the age of consent being 16 in Canada.

No, it was 14 until quite recently, when the conservative gov't changed it to 16. I haven't been dating 15 year olds for a while, but the AoC of 16 could make being a highschool student dangerous. Although I think there's a 5 year acceptable age difference or something like that to prevent against some of the stupid stuff that happens in the States, like the 17 year old getting 20 years in jail as a child sex offender for having sex with his 16 year old girlfriend.

That looks like a great gym. Makes my £30 per month gym look like a piece of crap.

I live right next to Alvin, in Pearland. That's really impressive.
