I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

I nailed 132lb 3x5 today (my previous 1RM), so I thought it was time to try a new 1RM. Here it is. I knew it was obviously going to be higher, but I didn't think THIS high. Kudos to Mehdi for a program that really brings out the most in a beginner.

There was a article today on t-nation about overhead press. It inspired me to do it because I have been doing seated press (home gym celing is low) but I recognize that there is more benefit to the overhead press. I have the garage cleaned out and have an extra barbell. I can drag weights and give it a go for a couple of weeks but after that I want my car back in the garage. My seated press PR is 3x3x135lb at BW of 195lb. Tomorrow, I'l work with low weights working on form and then try heavier weights every other day testing a 1RM in a week.

First of all, it's AMERICANADIAN not AmericanINDIAN. Second, enjoy your brief time in the sun, 'cause I'm coming for you.

Sweet. This is what I love, a little competition where the real stakes are just bettering yourself.

Can we make it a Tom Collins?

Americanadian and Dylanamus, I'll join both of you sometime soon with a raging bull (my favorite drink as a bartender, red bull + vodka) if the moderators ever update this contest
