I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Totally missed the deadline, due to subscribing a week or two beforehand, but if it's a 1RM Squat at 2xBW you're after, it took me 4 months on the SL program (credit to Medhi!) :)

If you want to make the next challenge for 5 reps in a row at 2xBW, I'll be up for that... Or else, I'll have to cut as much fat as possible and shoot for 3xbw for 1 rep (although this will take a year or two assuming my genetics will even allow it). Actually .25 extra makes a huge difference in weight when you're already talking more than 1.5xbw. 2x is MASSIVE. 3x is RIDICULOUS. Is it considered an "elite" level of training or what?

According to experts, you're not squatting heavy until you reach at least 2X bw. 3X would be insane. It all depends on how things go this year as to whether or not I'll try that.

Seems this thread hasn't been active for a while! I'll jump in anyways!

Current: 5rm@280lbs
Body weight:160lbs

Goal:2XBW: 5rm@320lbs
Deadline: February 28th 2010.

I'm trying to get to 170lbs and then cut back down some fat to maintain at about 160-165lbs. This means that I could wake up one morning and 2xbw is going to be 340lbs  :(
Regardless, we're gonna party like its 1997 once I hit 3 plates! 8)

I forgot about this challenge. I'll join too as I hope to get there before the year's over.

Current- I don't know because of back injury, but I was at 225lbsX5 @ a BW of 177lbs

My goal is 380lbs because I plan on bulking to 190lbs before I reach that. (to help me reach it) But who knows, I might only weigh 180lbs when I reach 360lbs.
