I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Got it through Ross Enamait:
When you see a product that promises the world, realize that you are reading a load of BS. The greatest gym in the world is worthless if you never get up, bust your ass, and use it. Your own personal effort and motivation is more important than the greatest tool.

I can't believe anyone would be stupid enough to buy any of that garbage, but I guess many have. People are so stupid when it comes to fitness. They'll try anything other than good old-fashion hard work and self-control.

Well, I had a mini-trampoline. I didn't buy it. My mother-in-law did and never used it. It can definitely raise heart rate especially when you haven't done it much regardless if you did other cardio. However, it gets boring quick. Hard to watch TV. I also adapted rather quickly and couldn't get heart rate up as high. Never had that occur to that effect with my other cardio. Gave it back a month ago.

I love cracked so very much.

On the whole, the reviews are mixed, and we must concede that some supposedly negative aspects are a tad overblown, like this one reviewer who was concerned about "sharp pains in [the] knees" or the lady who "had problems with 'the girls' bouncing a bit too enthusiastically." That last review captures an idea so impossible that we fail to understand it no matter how many times we read it.

Man I wish I could show this to my wife. She is a freaking "The Firm" addict. I would guess she has spent over $700.00 on all her videos and plastic boxes and crap. I spent under $350 for my entire home gym (power rack, weight, bench). She is in good shape but I think she would do a lot better with more barbell lifting. I do have her doing squats with me in the basement 3x/week though. Holy crap is she quad dominant. Her videos do a ton of half squats with light/med dumbbells. With a deep squat she can barley do the bar. She could probably half squat 400lbs.

She should watch out, women are more prone to acl injuries than men.

Pushup bars with Infra-red counters

Postby sifaan » Sun Apr 27, 2008 5:32 am

Push up bars with infrared counter - only found it on ebay.

This one is not as random as the original list... And I guess when you are doing upto 9999 pushups on the trot, then you possibly do need a machine to do the counting for you!
My log, my job and my blog.
