I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Better make it 3 hours, pre and post your pm workout. The more cardio the better. Ask any woman at the gym - they'll tell you.

Good point. But if you find yourself gaining weight, the best thing is to restrict your calories even further and increase your cardio. Better yet, drop the pizza and protein shakes and eat lettuce, tofu, carrot and celery sticks instead. And lots of diet soda.

And remember to include these "toning" moves:

I think there's an added muscle-building/fat-burning component if the dumbbells are pink.

Oh there's so much to remember, so much advice.

If only someone could write me a routine that's progressive, simple to follow and involves compound lifts for maybe 5 sets of 5 reps, perhaps 3 sessions a week, something I would have to work at, but, if I stuck with it and didn't try to change anything, I would see results as long as I got plenty of rest on days off, ate plenty of protein and good wholesome food, if only, there must be someone out there, there must be a routine like this to make me strong,please.............

Yeah, steroids and heroin. Heroin will give you greater vascularity. Ever see a heroin addict who wasn't vascular?

I would highly recommend not letting a girl see the mid region of your body for it might be the smallest thing you have because of the roids

Bench press drop sets are a great way to target the midpoint of your upper-inner pecs.

Start with 315 and no warm up (you don't want to waste energy), attempt to unrack it and fail, then rerack and drop down to 225. Have your friends help you unrack it, then struggle through a 2 inch range of motion. Drop down to 135 and bang out a couple of half reps to maximize your gains, and finish off with some reverse curls in the power rack.

A sample template would be something like this:

Bench Press:
315x1x0
225x3x1
135x1x5

Reverse curls:
45x20x8

Do this workout 6 days of the week and GET HUGE!

What I've found works great is to go to that rack looking contraption with all the pegs on it for different bar heights (whatever that's needed for), then use the barbell there to do drop sets of bicep curls. Remember to hiss with each rep for that maximum power, and to wear a belt to protect your back. Also, the weight might get heavy, so you might want wrist straps. Do about 20-30 drop sets of these bicep curls (superset with ultra-loud hissing concentration curls if you want that extra boost), and remember to fix your hair in between each rep: you don't want the ladies at the gym to see you looking disheveled from your grueling conquest of The Iron!
