I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

I don't do dips on the alternate workout because I don't have a dip station , but i'm building a powerrack so hopefully I should have that SOON....

I've tried chair dips but my dining room chairs have a 5 degree incline and the tops of the chairs are very thin, so attempting dips is very harsh on the wrists and hands, and gives me a horrible ROM. is it ok if I leave dips out for now? Squats, barbell rows and bench shags me out enough...

or maybe i can do another exercise? in the pdf it says dips are assecory exercise anyway! thanks

I've thought about this aswell, but I've realised doing dips on a chair or bench is good enough for the average Joe. I'm currently workin out in a commercial studio where them have a dipping station, but when the winter arrives I'll move on to a small gym in the handball hall. There I'll have to do dips on a chair, bench or even in the rings that they've got in the hall. Mehdi writes: "Dips using rings are harder than parallel bar Dips: you need to stabilize yourself more." I think I'll do them to challenge myself.

Do push-ups instead, same set/reps.

Doing them that way on a chair or bench, puts your shoulder joint at risk. Torso is more upright, feet are fixed, your shoulder is in awkward position, epsecially when you start to do them loaded. not ok do them that way.
