I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Yeah i hear ya, a lot of the nicer polos and dress shirts don't look as if they would fit even someone who was remotely athletic...The ones that fit the shoulders area are all way too loose at the bottom (making it tent all out when I try to tuck it in)....

Christ I absolutely hate it when that happens. Sometimes I just get so fed up I leave it untucked

I buy most of my slacks and button down shirts from one off stores like TJMAX. Then I tailor them myself.
Pants I buy to fit my ass and thighs then take in the waist
Shirts I buy for my neck and shoulders then take in the waist.

I had a tailor do it once to see how it was done. It was as simple as turning the shirt inside out and sewing a line 1" inside the one already there, so I do it myself now.

I'm going to a new year's eve party in a new pair of pants now, because I tried on a suit I used this summer and I could hardly get the pants up enough over my butt to even close the zipper! But I don't mind, it feels much more healthy to be big around the thighs and butt than the belly.

hmmmm I'm not sure if I'm actually getting fatter while doing SL5x5 lol... but my pant button popped off a couple of times already this past month. I wear 31W30L and small polo or t-shirts. Also when I go out and it's cold I wear small sized thermals underneath and coat on top. The shirt fits good, but the pant is feeling a bit tighter. Next time I might buy 32W30L instead lol.

also a funny story... I went to Men's Warehouse to pick up a suit for a Christmas a couple of weeks ago. I told him my measurements (16.5 neck, 31 waist etc). The sales guy looked skeptical and told me "are you sure you are a 31??" or something along that line. Sure enough, I walked out with size 17 jacket, and 32x30 pants lol. Well he thought I needed 34 or 36 at first.. >_<

Does anyone actually wear those low rise jeans? What's up with those? "Um, yes I want the plumber butt jeans please."

i ripped out a pair of $200 jeans in the crotch. they are super tight now, and started off as my "big" pair. they were 31/34. yesterday i bought a pair of 33/34's and they are SO comfortable. holy crap! i forgot in the last 4 months what it's like to have comfortable jeans. unfortunately, i've got about $600 worth of jeans that don't fit me anymore. meh. oh well. i've also got a $20 under armour shirt that i'm starting to make look good when i wear it!
