Articles/info on chalk vs. straps

Postby eLvarouza on Tue Nov 18, 2008 4:40 pm

Hey,

So I need to argue with my gym's policy of "no chalk", and I basically want to include some good sources about why chalk is necessary. I of course have Starting Strength: BBT and Rippetoe's other books, as well as this site, but I don't just want to quote the same guy over and over. Anyway if anyone has any articles or pages or whatever from a reputable source handy or bookmarked or whatever could you please post the link here? Please don't go out and do a bunch of research/searching or whatever; I plan to do that on my own. I'm just wondering if anyone has some good articles handy.

Thanks.

What about practical experience? Showing him how it feels better with vs. without?

Worst case: what about liquid chalk?
