I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Guys, you have to see this video. Any fan of weightlifting must see this.

Two things I simply love about this video:

1) Differently from what we usually see at the olympics in television, this documentary focus a lot on the people's emotions. It's so good that sometimes I want to help the athletes lift these big weights.

2) How can someone the size of Naim lift something so heavy? THAT'S NOT HUMAN, MAN! And it's more motivational than any self-help bullshit you can read.

If anyone knows of other videos depicting weightlifting contests in a similar manner, please post it in the forums! It makes me see that there is much more to the sport of weightlifting than the eye can see.

Very cool video.

The battle for gold at the Olympics this year was intense, with a very emotional finish:

"The game may only be to move a ball forward on a dirt field, but the task can be accomplished with an unshackled joy and its memories will be a permanent delight."
