I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

G'day all (Yes, it is a cliche, but I really do say that)

I'm here because I'm a runner who needs to get some strength back again. 10 years ago I was in awesome shape, lifting PBs frequently with a low body fat level. A succession of injuries, work and girlfriends put that to rest.

I got in good shape 5 years later, but have put on much of my lost weight. (To be fair I was just thin because I was living out of home and eating poorly).

Weight has been a problem for me, at 6-4 and 210 pounds I am a big unit, but need some shape and definition.

My aerobic fitness is great my marathon pb is 3:42:08 which I set a month ago. But I know with less body fat, more core and leg strength I could make that even better.

I'm a happily married Dad of a beautiful baby girl, but I work hard to train around my teaching job. I push it - but I enjoy the benefits, both physically and mentally.

I look forward to seeing you all in the forums.

Cheers,

Mick
