I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

A bonus is the way X sticks her cute little butt out while doing them.

  I hope my hubby and I are as tight as you two are in 10 years. And yes, your butt has to stick w-a-y out! Makes the hammies cry. Nice workout yesterday.

Careful on those bench presses, you saw that a USC player dropped the bar on his neck the other day?

Gee, no one's commented on my cute little butt whilst doing GM's!

Ha, Ha. My hubby's kind words are like this...."You can get the hot tub cover out of the pool, you're the one that D/L's "x" - you can get it yourself, I believe in you" Not quite the same, eh?

After Wednesday's workout I had DOMS on Thursday morning so bad I could not fully extend my arm above my head. Took 600 mg of Ibuprofen, and at lunch I Googled "treatment for DOMS". This led me to why the Ibuprofen did nothing; apparently DOMS is not fully understood. That is why there is so much written that goes in all directions. I read too much. The DOMS went away before I left work on Thursday.

Looks like a really good workout. I have days when it feels unusually heavy too. Some of these are my best workouts. Nothing like leaving it all at the gym. You are still showing good progress. Excellent! 8)

Hey, is that your cat Barry? What's his/her name?

Solid workout on Friday, glad your DOMS was gone by then.

The avatar is Mercury. We adopted him after he spent his first two years as a "intact male" cat. That means he had not yet been neutered. He is a big cat and has a head is the size of a softball. When you look close at him he looks like he was hit by a weed whacker. The vet said they were offensive as well as defensive past wounds from many battles. He also has some mental problems as in "that cat ain't right". To keep X and I from sleeping too well at night, he sleeps between the pillows.

Funny story: After we adopted him, we brought him to our vet to make sure all was ok. Our vet is woman in her forties, and she had a vet tech with her, a short thin young woman maybe 19 years old at most. The vet said "let me check that he has been neutered...yes, no testicles". With that the young woman clapped her hands together and in a really happy perky voice said "yeah!". Mercury and I did not share her joy.

Typical insecure male pet owner, can't stand the thought of a cats balls getting cut off  . My women clients never squirm when their female cat is spayed :)
