I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Glad to hear the foot is good to go again.

Great DL Barry. Goofing off and getting a PR...impressive! How is the OHP coming along?

Have been missing your and X's happy logs. Ditto what Kathy said and get back to the gym and the forum!

Monday October 26 Workout 'A'

SQ
45 lbs, 1x10 Full ATF, well, as low as I could go, I cannot touch my thighs to my calfs...
95 lbs, 1x5
125 lbs, 3x5
I should go back to the 5x5, my training partner "X" has...

BP
45 lbs, 1x10, done explosively.
65 lbs, 1x5
120, 3x5
I am so grateful for the lift-off I get each set.

BBR
50 lbs, 1x10
55 lbs, 3x10
Turns out that X is a very good coach. She spotted what I have been doing wrong, and helped me to correct it. That is good news while the weights are still low.

GM
Aarg! Even with all of X's coaching, I can't get these right. I cant wiggle my tush like she can. Exgagerate your hips she says. My hips can't do that. Good mornings are my downfall.

Reverse Crunch
Gotta jet. Wanted to pick up something from the mailbox place and they close at 7:00 pm. Crunches were left to do on the honor system at home...yea right...with five cats sniffing you wondering why you are on the floor.

A good workout. Not as good as X who did massive volume work and 5x5. On Bent over Barbell Rows she did 5x10 !!! That chick is a machine, and she looks good doing it too; last night in a hot pink camo House of Pain shirt. :D

Barry puts his arms out is a wide circle like he is about to deliver a big hug, and lets out a Hulk-like noise!

SQ
45 lbs 1x10
95 lbs 1x5
125 lbs 3x5

OHP
45 lbs 1x10
75 lbs 3x5

DL
135 lbs 1x5
205 lbs 1x2
My goal or plan was to pull 200 lbs off the floor by the end of the month. My twisted thinking went like this: Let's see, I have been successful at 190 lbs for a few weeks, lets up it by 10 pounds...wait, 200 is 2x45 + 2x25 + 2x5 + 2x2.5, too many plates, I will just go up 15 so it is only 2x45 and 2x35 pound plates, now that is more simple...

Bend over, big breath up the bar comes to lockout, pause, put it down, pause, big breath, pull it back up to lockout, put it down, pause, step away. I'm happy.

Pull-ups and prone bridge, check!

Pulled 205 for two reps, it is a good night! :D

Good job on the DL! Funny how an extra 5lbs makes it so much harder! Just think, you are now two "B" workouts away from using two 45's on each side. Go get em Barry! :D

Great work on the deadlift PR. It's not easy to increase by 10# when you're getting into those weights.

Nice work on all your lifts Barry. You are posting some great numbers. Congrats on the DL PR. Feels good to move up on this one doesn't it? Only a couple of weeks and a day or so from Squating your bodyweight. Some exciting stuff!

Wednesday November 4; Workout A

SQ
45 lbs x 5
95 lbs x 5
130 lbs 5x5

BBR
60 lbs 5x5

GM
50 lbs 5x5

BP
45 lbs x 10
65 lbs x 5
115 lbs x 3 (What the heck? Why is this so heavy.)
95 lbs 5x5
Not a bench press day!

Oh look Bernice, some fool left a loaded 135 pound barbell on the floor. Can’t pass the opportunity…

DL
135 lbs x 5 Just for fun.

Reverse Crunch
3x15

It was fun doing some deadlifts on my non-DL day. Since I warm up with 135 pounds, I could not pass on the opportunity. X just shakes her head.

I know that feeling too! Happens to me way too often! :P Looks like you had another great workout, keep it up.

Monday November 16; Workout A

BP
45 lbs x 5 Warm-up
95 lbs x 5 Warm-up
125 lbs x 4
Why is this so heavy? Crap! Because the power rack was busy we did bench press first.
I loaded my squat working weight onto the bench press! Well I did get four.
95 lbs x 5

SQ
45 lbs x 5 Warm-up ATF.
95 lbs x 5 Warmup ATF.
125 5 x 3
Check out the log of XCouchPotato. Bernice had a new squat PR and because of her “bad” plate math, she lifted 5 more pounds then she even knew she was lifting.

BOR
60 lbs 5x5

GM
50 lbs 5x5
I can’t get my form right on this. “X” keeps moving up in weight! She has all kinds of plates on the bar-I have two little 2.5 pounders, sheze.

I took last week off, so I took a de-load.
I must say, I was more proud of “X’s” workout than mine, but hey, she rattled the steel all last week and she had THREE new PRs last night.
