I'm 39 and I've been lifting since the early 90's. Unluckily most of my lifting comes from the wrong books and magazines. I can one rep curl 100 lbs but my 5x5 squat is only 160... I'm involved in amateur yacht racing and have some conflicting short term and long term goals driven by an upcoming regatta.
I've spent that last 9 months losing 45 lbs doing tabata everyday and using a bike as basic transportation in South Texas.
Mehdi's system has been packing on the muscular pounds when I need to be losing weight. I weigh 205 but I have to be strong and weigh 195 in mid-january.
