    I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. :lol: But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

So I thought I would start a bit of a training log on this sight considering that I'm now doing the Stronglifts programme.

A bit of background, I'm 22 and weigh 70kg, been weight lifting on and off for about 3 years. I ended up getting sick and tired of the amount of routines out there as well as the conflicting information. I've never been a strong kid/guy and I started to get tired of using the same weights all the time and not really seeing any results.

Finally decided to bite the bullet and do Stronglifts 5 x 5 at least up until christmas and I have to say that I'm so glad I did. I'm seeing results often, which has given my confidence a boost and for the first time I feel like I have some genuine strength. Even my rugby player mate is pretty chuffed with the progress I'm making.

When I began this programme at the beginning of term I was struggling with 60kg on the squat and couldn't even complete one set of 5 due to a lay off in training and eating properly etc.

Start of term:
============
Squat: 50kg 5 x 5
Bench: 35kg 5 x 5
Deadlift: 80kg 1 x 5
Overhead Press: 10kg 5 x 5

Current:
=======
Squat: 82.5kg 5 x 5
Bench: 42.5kg 5 x 5
Deadlift: 95kg 1 x 5
Overhead Press: 20kg 5 x 5

Been on the programme for about 6 weeks now. It's kicking my *** but I'm loving every minute of it. I know that I'm always improving, and even if my body composition doesnt change, I'm happy in the knowledge that I'm getting stronger.
