I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

I added Box pistols to my workout at the beginning of this week (5 days ago). After a few succesful attempts I started doing them on an 11 inch high surface. I could easily do them on my left leg, in fact I've found I can do them with full range of motion on my left leg and but I can just barely squeak out one on the 11 inch box with my right leg. I am right handed so I find this sort of weird. Is there something going on here that I am missing or is it normal to be so much weaker on one leg than the other?

Yeah its very normal, but youll probably find that a lot of it is to do with your neurological command of those muscles. like the way most people couldnt pitch a ball with their 'weaker' arm even though it can technically lift the same weights etc.

Keep at it, you can actually improve your brain function through exercise.

Most people who are right handed, are left-leg dominant - and vice-versa for those that are left handed. The pistol is a high skill exercise. Keep practicing and the progress will come on both sides.

It may do you so good to practice some static holds in the bottom position - even if you have to use your hands for assistance. This will help strengthen the extreme range of motion and build a foundation for when you are doing full pistols.
