A little more on yesterdays session. Jeez it was a good'un. at three o clock I had a banana and some skyr (
http://www.skyr.com) which is one hell of a dairy product. Then at around four I rode my bike to the gym, not expecting much since last session was really hard and my back had been bugging me a little and my PT had told me to not increase weight on my squats while I balance out my quad strength (knee injury).
I felt good after warmup so I said what the hell and added the 2.5 kgs anyway. Boy did that shit fly. I'm guessing its the meal and better sleep the night before. I was on fire. I also 5x5ed 70 kgs on the bench which is a PR.
My body is changing. I eat like a grinder and train stronglifts 5x5 three times a week. I am slowly gaining weight, which is really hard for me since my mind wants me to loose weight (my self image says I'm fat). Plus my clothes are getting smaller, my tees are starting to stretch over my arms and sholders and none of my shortsleevs shirts fit properly over my guns.
I am focusing on getting stronger. I will reach 5x5x1,5x bodyweight sometime this year and then, and only then I will start burning away the extra fat (if there is any left). This I will do by swimming, biking and doing the fatloss weightlifting program in "The new rules of lifting" for men.
I notice ppl at the gym noticing me. I really AM the guy who shows up three times a week and starts every session by sqatting. I am doing 87.5 kgs 5x5 (good form i belive) by now and thats more than 90 % of the others are doing. I still haven't seen anybody who's not on 5x5 do proper squats at my gym. I've seen plenty of guys doing quarter squats and squats in the smith machine. I also see guys (sometimes huge guys) come in and do nothing but bench, pectorial flys and tons of other variations of redundant chest workouts. I pity the fools

My progress hasn't only been above expectations. Pullups are still really bad (can't do a single one unassisted). I therefore see myself forced to alter one of my st goals (3x5 unassisted pullups before 6. july). It just isn't realistic at this point. I am extending the timeperiod to 11. august (my 34th birthday).
