I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

• Disclaimer - Im not doing box squats, I am only using a box so that I go to the same depth and cant cheat. The decent is slow and controlled and I do not bounce off the box.

Workout B
• Squat - 5 x 5 x 85kg
• OHP 5 x 5 x 42.5kg
• Deadlift – 1x 5 x 120kg
• Chin ups 3 x 5 + 10 kg
• Prone Bridge 3 x 1 Min
• Hanging Knee raises – 3 x 12

After my thoughts about form last session I decided to just carry on. Did the 85kg easier than the 82.5. Well happy with the OHP I fired through these and even did 8 on the last set for lolz. The bar kinda got loaded wrong for the deadlifts, was gonna do 115 but my training partner thought we were trying a 1rep max. I managed to do it but had to have a break after the 3rd to get my grip strength back. Will try these again. Did the chin ups + 10kg ! Good session even though I wasnt really feeling like going.

IM COMING FOR YOU 100KG SQUAT

Workout A
• Squat - 5 x 5 x 87.5kg
• Decline Bench press 5 x 5 x 3 x 70kg - 5 x 5 x 2 x 75kg
• BB Row 5 x 5 x 60kg
• Push ups 3 x F
• Hyper Extentions 3 x 12
• Chair Leg Raises 3 x 12

BB Rows felt heavy and couldnt any muscle up's today. I am eating more but I doubt a 3kg difference would stop me from doing them and it feels like my arms are getting weaker. Either way slightly annoying.
Everything else was good so cant complain.

Workout B
• Squat - 5 x 5 x 90kg WIN!
• OHP 5 x 5 x 45kg PB WIN!
• Deadlift – 1x 5 x 100kg
• Pull Ups 3 x F
• Prone Bridge 3 x 1 Min
• Hanging Knee raises – 3 x 12

Today was hard but a real eye opener.
Squats were hellish mental battle. After the 2nd set I had ran out of energy and kept wanting to rack the bar and give up because it felt so dam heavy. On the 4th set part of me started wondering why do I bother, I see no one else in the gym is putting in this much effort into what they are doing. I finished the set and sat down looking at the bar and started to talk my self out of the last set because I knew it was gonna be hard. Because it was gonna be hard. Because its gonna be hard is not a reason to stop!

I started wondering when have I actually done something that I knew was gonna be hard. I havent, I give up. I never step outside of my comfort zone. I do anything exciting any more. I dont do things because I'm too scared to put in the effort. Too be rejected or fail. I talk myself out of things all the time by saying "I'll do it later" or "there be another time". NO! I am not weak, I am stronger than this.I will do this. I will finish this. I will not back down. I jumped up to the bar and smashed out the last set in pure anger and finished it. After I fell down on to the box feeling proud that I had not given in to that voice in my head that has stopped me from taking that extra step in life. I'm not gonna listen to him anymore.

The rest of the work out was fine. The OHP was great and I finally made some progression, I have never done 5 x 5 x 45kg ! I only did 100kg of the deadlift as my form sucked last time I did them by jumping in too heavy. I seem to always feel sick as I leave the gym after a good stronglift session.

Hey Cynical, despite your nickname your log is an enjoyable read - good on fighting the little voice that cries things are too hard, it speaks to all of us in its sweet alluring voice, beckoning us to "try again next time" :)

Workout A
• Squat - 5 x 5 x 92.5kg BOOM!
• Bench press - 1 x 5 70kg - 4 x 5 72.5kg (failed on the last set)
• DB Chest Press 3 x 5 x 28kgx2
• Power Clean Practise
• A few Pull ups

Didnt really feel like going to the gym today. I had some mad hamstring/glute DOMS and acquired a very specific lower back pain some how in the last work out (i think putting the weights back) that only seemed to hurt when getting in cars or walking down stairs :S. I went to see what I could do and to see if it gave me any hassle squating. Squating was all good and am well happy with the 92.5kg squat ! ONLY 7.5kg TO GO ! Im gonna start doing some DB chest press instead of push ups for a bit as my left arm is having trouble keeping up with my right. When I tryed DB press my left arm was all over the place, so Im gonna try this for a week or two and see if that helps.

Workout B
• Squat - 5 x 5 x 95kg WIN!
• OHP 5 x 5 x 47.5 kg (5,5,4,4,2)
• Deadlift – 1x 5 x 105kg
• Mixed Grip Ups 3 x F
• Prone Bridge 2 x 1 Min

NEED MORE WATER, 500ml is not enough anymore! Felt really light headed and dizzy on the deadlifts till I realised my body wanted water (i didnt feel thirsty you see) then I was full of energy again!
Also I really need to keep more track of what rep im actually on when doing the squats as on the first set I forgot if I did 4 or 5 so I had to get up and do one more to have peace of mind. Then on the 4th set one of the reps wasnt great (lent forward) so on the last set I aimed for 6 to balance it out and actually got it which was a win. Ive decided next session to try 100kg on Monday as Ive really got my heart set on getting it.
BOOM!

Workout A
• Squat - 5 x 5 x 100kg BOOOOOOM!!!!!!
• Bench press - 5 x 5 70kg
• BB Row 3 x 5 x 60kg
• Hanging Leg raises and some L pull ups

Well happy with today. Squats really took it out of me and I felt dizzy, sick and kind of collapsed on to the floor once I racked it. Gonna re try 100kg again next time to get it down with perfect form (last 2 reps on set 5 were probably the hardest thing Ive ever done... ever). The bench was surprisingly easy even though with each rep I was expecting to shut down and get stuck under the bar. Rows werent good but I dont care I just squated 100kg x 5 x 5 for the first time ever!
I kinda wish I still weighed 70 kg cus the 1.5 bw squat would be so close! I weigh about 74kg which makes my 1.5 target about 112.5 (going on a weight of 75kg)

Bit of a random/fun one today as I wasnt planning on going but got talked into it.

• OHP 1rm of 60kg (slightly a push press (will work on that :D))
• Decline Bench, 5 x 60kg, 5 x 70kg, 5 x 75kg, 5 x 80kg, 5 x 85kg!
• Bench 5 x 60kg, 5 x 70kg, 5 x 75kg (failed but worked through with training partner)
• One Muscle up followed by mixed grip-ups (switching grips after each rep)

I had a tweak in my back from painting the day before so I didnt fancy squats, but going to the gyms made the pain go away which is a win.
In unrealated news I gots a job interview tomorrow so got to go to bed nice and early tonight :D

Cheers AbleArcher :)

Workout RANDOM
• Squat - 5 x 2 x 100kg - then decided to try a 1RM 1 x 120kg
OHP 5 x 5 x 47.5 kg WIN
• T bar row 4 x 5 x 40kg, 2 x 5 x 50kg

Felt hungery and weak as soon as I got in the gym, then wimped out of 5 x 5 squats :( not to happy with today. I wanted to do 5 x 5 or a 140kg 1rm but I failed twice trying to do it then failed on 130kg. OHP was odd though. I guess not being destroyed by squats means I can press more. Gonna hammer squatz next session to make up for this.

• Squat - 3 x 5 x 80kg, 8 x 90kg (for lolz, 5 didnt seem enough)
• Bench press - doing 5 x 60kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg (did 2 or 3 then failed hard), 60kg x as many as i could do.
• BB Row 3 x 5 x 60kg
• Cleans practise, did a clean and jerk of 60kg which felt good.
• Hanging leg raises 3 x 12

Ive had a week off (job training and had been pumping it hard in the gym :P) and was ready to get stuck into it today (even though i forgot my mp3 :S).
Bit of a random one today as my training partner had work so I didnt stick truely to 5 x 5. Thinking of switching to 3 x 5 on squats as after I loose all energy to go nuts on other exercises and go dizzy. Gonna experiment with this.
8 x 90kg squat killed it for me and was quite pleased with it. Did some powercleans and clean and jerk practise once my training partner went and these were really good fun.

• Squat - 5 x 3 x 90kg
• OHP 5 x 5 (50kg, 45kg, 40kgx3)
• Powerclean practise
• Mixed Grip Ups 3 x ?
• Straight leg raises

Felt weak AGAIN after squats. Gonna try eating differently next time.
3 x 5 on squats was nice though and form was banging.
