I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

I just finished the complex in 11:00 flat. It felt really easy, but that was probably because I started out with just the bar. So I was wondering if anyone else on this forum does it. If so, how often do you add weight to the bar? Because I know that I need to, but when should you stop adding weight, because I don't want it to turn into a strength workout, but just want to make it more of a conditioning workout

If you finished it in 11 minutes and it felt easy, you weren't doing it quickly enough. With some lighter weights, I had been finishing in under 9 minutes and that was definitely a workout. Cut your rest time. I've been following a simple weight progression: if I complete the complex within 12 minutes, I add 5 pounds next time. I came up against my wall VERY quickly (75 pounds). Even if you get further initially, I wouldn't put the weight over 95 pounds.
my log

current lifts (1x5): squat- 310, bench- 215, deadlift- 315
goals for 2010: squat- 400, bench 300, deadlift 500

Ok thanks, and I did cut rest times a lot. I would rest 30-60 seconds and didnt rest at all on the last round.
I was doing it sort of slowly because I would lose count and have to stop and think what rep im on, and I forgot the exercise order a couple times, so had to turn around and find it on my computer. I was doing the GMs very slowly on purpose to make sure my form was good. I had never done them before. Ill try 50lbs tomorrow

Ive done Cosgrove's Evil 8 and I also started out with the bar, but the next time I did it, I used 55 lbs and it was still pretty easy, so I just kept adding 5 lbs until I couldn't do it under 10 min.
I do these sometimes on my off day as active recovery. Once I get to 95lbs and they are harder, I'll start doing them after my workout so that I have a full days rest in between workouts

I've been throwing it at the end of my regular workout.I've gone from just using the bar (20kg) to 25kg. I'll up that tomorrow. I do it quick with 30 seconds rest between sets. Once done I cheerfully collapse and crawl off to the change rooms.

I have no idea how long it takes. I'll try and time it tomorrow.
