I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Doing the stronglifts advanced program with squat suit

Postby supergrunt on Wed Nov 04, 2009 12:32 am

Hi Guys,

I am a IPF competitive powerlifter and am gonna do the stronglifts advanced program after my next competition.
Is it possible to do the squat in this program using a single ply squat suit and knee wraps or would that create to much fatigue / burnout, or how about doing mon and wed sessions raw and friday's progressive squat with the suit and wraps on?

Thanks in advance

When is your next meet? It may pay off to just do a couple months working on raw strength then get back in the suit 4-6 weeks out from the competition. Oh yeah, stats?

The only thing I can see being an issue is the maxes that you base the program on. If you take your raw numbers to calculate the weights for the week then your suited and shirted days are going to be too light, but if you use your geared numbers then the raw days will be too heavy.
