I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Love a cold beer. Don't enjoy shots, but it gets you trashed, which can be fun. Tried weed a handful of times, and when that shit works...ah...

But I'd never graduate to harder stuff. Not even a thing I've considered.

And what's with the correlation between cocaine and bj's? I've heard so many stories linking the two...

I am a big marijuana lover. I smoke it everyday and let me make this as clear as possible, I have had the same job for over 3 years, I can count the number of days I have missed in the last 3 years with both hands (meaning there is no way I have missed any more than 10 days in 3 years not including holidays). I don't spend all my money on it. I only smoke it after all my activites are done for the day meaning job, choirs and gym. I like to come home after a grueling workout to a nice joint or bong hit, It does wonders for me and puts me in a instant relaxation mode and shoots my hunger up so I can stuff my face with nutritious food (I find I can eat and enjoy heathy food while high). In no way does having a bag of weed demotivate me from working out and it actually seems pretty silly, sorta like saying I get demotivated to go to the gym because I have an xbox 360, I love to play it but that doesn't mean I'm gonna stop going to the gym. I smoked weed before I was going to the gym and continue even now that I have a workout plan and it seems that the benefits outweight the cons, actually I don't even think there is a con? Its great it even makes sex better.

Alcohol on the other hand I hardly ever touch. I hate that next day feeling when you drink too much I never get that feeling from smoking weed. So I will stick to weed as it does wonders for me

I used to have pat with alcohol and drugs, a lot more with alcohol than drugs. Now I am finally clean. Occasional beer here and there, monthly. Nothing more than that.

Seems there is a higher proportion of pot smokers on SL5x5 than general population.

I saw the question up on BB.com and the proportion seemed far biased to anti-pot.

Never used anything. Guess I'm uncool. :)

Took a puff from a cig once and almost chocked to death. I became sick for one or two weeks after so I vowed never to do it again.

I got a bottle of wine for Christmas but it went bad because I didn't finish the whole thing.

I love marijuana. Don't smoke it anymore, considering though. Never tried cigarettes. Can drink and smoke shitloads but affects my stamina.

Well Raf, since we disagree on so much around here I thought to take your side, as you seem to be in the minority on this thread. I never smoked cigs, though I did take a puff on a cigar once. I don't drink wine, though once in a while I will have a stout beer (local oregonian microbrew), or a german bockbier, or a guinness, but again, that's like once a month usually.
Damn, you got sick from one cig puff for 2 weeks? what the hell was in that shit, petrochemicals?
I can tolerate pure tobacco smoked around me (like what they put in pipes which is actually pleasant to smell), but regular cigs with the petrochemicals-fuck that.

It was a pack of Chinese cigarettes my friend gave me after my dumb ass kept asking for it. I offered a couple to some friends because I was scared to try it, and they all said it was so good they got high off it. It must have had something in them! I had terrible chest pains after. :x Serves me right.

Never smoked. I binged on alcohol in college, like most (maybe not most, but I'd say at least 40%, from how many people I'd see out on the weekends) kids. Granted, I didn't go crazy with it until I was in my senior year and 21, because I didn't want to get busted. I can't really say I got an addiction from it though, because now, just 2 years later, I haven't had a drop for.... well about three weeks now, but it's just something I don't think about. I never liked beer, because I drank to get buzzed and I'd get full from beer before I got a buzz going, so I grew up a vodka-kid haha.

I'm graduating to fine scotch and whiskey in a chilled glass now, though. Can't say I have any liquor in my freezer right now, but I've been meaning to pick up a bottle of Jack. Need to get to Tennessee and visit the factory, get some good stuff :)

As far as the drinking impacting my lifting... in college, I (like most kids) did isolation routines. I didn't get much progress because, firstly it was isolation routines, and secondly, my nutrition was horrible... and I missed a few workouts when I wouldn't feel like going from a hangover.

hey guys,

I'm currently 17. First time I tried alcohol was when I was 14. had an unfortunate incident where I had 3.5l of beer (quite a lot for me at the time), got sick and had to stay in bed for 2 days. After that I didnt really drink much at all, at our school (in DK drinking age is 16, I skipped 2 school years so was in the same class as 16 y.o.) we had balls/parties about every 1.5 months, I'd drink a few there sometimes. Over the last year I suppose at a party I would drink till I was tipsy, the principle being as long as you can get home alone your fine =D

My drinking culminated in 18 shots of tequila this new years. havent had anything since, and honestly dont really feel like it. Suffice to say I have a high tolerance, but dont plan to use it. And yeah I suppose its not so good that I started drinking too early.

I have in the past, although lately I've hardly even been drinking. I've been drunk once this year, yes it's only February, but I'm a university student. That means I should be drunk right now.

Drugs-wise, I haven't in quite a while. I tried Salvia last week, though, and...it was fun, but I had a bit of a revelation, as in one that I don't want to do drugs any more. Occasional alcohol and a coffee will do me fine, thanks.

And for all of that, I feel a hell of a lot better and I have more money in my pocket, too!

It was fun, but after the main "trip" had ended it took too long to get back to normal...don't think I'll be doing it again!

That said, I did come out with some funny quotes during the experience
