I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Hey you guys are awesome. :P
Things are busy, busy, busy around here. Still lifting but my goals at the moment have changed and I'm not really doing the 5x5 so didn't want to post my workouts. I have been working on losing some fat (those 10 pounds I put on while building muscle) and my goal is to do bow hunting in September so have been doing lots of hiking and increasing my strength for pulling my bow. I have been adding a bit of weight as I do my hikes to increase my endurance for backpacking. It is tough. And for all of my newfound back muscles it didn't help a lot for pulling back the bow. I have had to learn to train the right muscle in the back and that has been work. Doing sort of a GTG type thing of pulling my bow only 3 x's but doing it throughout the day. Have slowly been increasing that. Hiking is increasing and I plan to do an all day hike on Thursday.
I dropped the anabolic diet but doing a 40% protein, 35% carb and 25% fat and zig zagging my calories. None of my carbs from grains. I removed all grains to see if that would help (the only ones I was eating is rice and corn) It takes a lot of work to keep track of all of that.
Bow season opens up September 6th around here so I am working hard to get ready.

And.. drum roll please........ my daughter became engaged and they are getting married in September. Oh boy! Not much to do around here.

So, all of that is probably more than you asked for but that is my life right now. I am not sure how much I will be able to check in and post, right now I should be out there doing my workout so I had better quit procrastinating and get at it.

@YA, just read briefly about your girl. All of the ups and downs drama is what makes romantic love so enticing. As much as we don't like it , where would we be without the unexpected and unknown, if it was all predictable how could we grow and learn?

Hey, Glad to hear things are going good for you. I hope you get something with that bow . A consistent diet is hard to keep up with but worth the work in the long run.

Yeah, your about the girl. I guess I was use to being able to predict certain out comes. This is no longer the case but I still enjoy spending my time with her. I kinda dislike that it as kinda like snapping back into reality though.
