I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

I'd choose elliptical, only for the fact I wouldnt fancy running on a treadmill after squats

Plus I wouldnt really count on both gaining muscle and loosing fat at the same time - while possible, its better to pick one path and stick with it til its through

I used to run for 30 minutes at a time, sometimes twice a day. 9th week of SL5x5 and I'm finding it hard to do 15 minutes treadmill (although, to be fair, I do quite a demanding running routine). I don't push it any more than that because running when tired is a great way to injure yourself. I may switch to the elliptical trainer because it's lower impact and I'd be able to do it a bit longer.

The problem with me is my right shoulder is injured... it is improving but I can't BP and OHP as of now so my workouts are shorter comparatively as of now as I squat, DL, Inverted rows, chin/pulls, bench dips and ab work. I have noticed it is easier to run after workouts (as of now perhaps because of the low number of exercises I do). I am honestly confused, I am not that fat. @ 5’7” by waist from the belly button is 36” so it is huge I think. Shall I fully stop cardio and focus solely on strength building or shall I continue running? Also once I am strong enough I ultimately want to do HIIT Sprints but feel that won’t be possible if I totally stop running post workout now. Need to build stamina till I start HIIT! What do u suggest?
Many thanks.
Vivek. :)

Also what I like to do is increase speed on the TM after I reach 20 mins constant running. Like once I am able to run for 20 mins, I increase the speed on the TM by .2 or .1km/hr. From 7.5 km/ph to maybe 7.6 or 7.7. get down to 15 mins, build from there increasing 1 min every workout. Is that a good way?
