I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

I have to say I am a true believer of SL 5x5! I had been going to the gym on and off for about 4 yrs and never really had any substantial gains or motivation to continue for an extended period of time. Since starting SL 5x5, I can't wait to go to the gym and work out! The results are great, and I believe this program was something I had been looking for all along. I feel like I'm getting back to the basics of what weightlifting was meant to be, not a driven by vanity, but by strenghtening your body and mind. I owe my newfound health and body to Mehdi! Thank you! I still have a long way to go, but I feel great and I know the results will only get better and better!

Week 1:
38 yrs old
Weight: 304 lbs Fat: 32% (using fat% readout from digital scale, so might not be right)
Squat: 165 lbs
Bench Press: 135 lbs
Overhead Press: 95 lbs
Deadlift: 155 lbs

Week 7:
Weight: 294 lbs Fat: 29% (using fat% readout from digital scale, so might not be right)
Squat: 260 lbs
Bench Press: 190 lbs
Overhead Press: 140 lbs
Deadlift: 245 lbs

I love SL 5x5! Thanks again, Mehdi!!!

Great going Art
Keep at it and imagine where you'll be this time next year.
