I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Squats: 140lbs 5x5
I decided to do 140 again today to see how it felt. My PR is an injury on 150. I'll be at 150 by Friday. 140 felt good. I completed the 5x5 very easily.

Press: 95 5x5
This was hard. I don't think I kept strict form throughout every rep. My right wrist really hurts when doing these... it's being bent too far back.

Deadlift: 135 5x5
Easy

Pull ups: BW 9,6,6
I was really tired by the time I got to these!

Good workout. Felt great for a Monday. Very happy to be back into it. I hope I don't hurt my back again!

welcome back essmitty, good to see you are doing better.

Keep it up and take it easy, you don't want to reinjure.

Good luck.

Well... I hate to sound like a broken record, but here I am again with a hurt back after working out yesterday. Interestingly, it wasn't the squats this time... I hurt it while doing rows. I've never liked doing rows, it always felt like it was too much pressure on my lower back. I'm going to go read about them in Starting Strength and see if maybe I'm doing them wrong. The other possibility is that my lower back wasn't fully healed yet.

This is getting old... :x

essmitty,

Sorry to hear about your back. Rows can be a little bit of a pain. I definitely feel the pressure with them as well. I hope you come back and feel well soon.
