    I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. :lol: But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Pullups: 6,8,5 band assisted, abs suck

Last night did a Kb DVD (AOS: Providence) with just a 20lb because I just wanted to see where I was with my conditioning... yeah need to work on that. Woke up with some sore quads and hamstrings...

Just finished today's workout...

Workout A
Squat: 90lb 5x5...
Bench: 90lb 5x5 (Weights getting heavy, slowing down on my last reps...)
Inverted Rows: 7, 7, 5, 3 (feet on floor... did 3 more because i felt like i didn't really get after it the first set)
Pushups (incline from bench): 10,7,7 .
RevCrunch: Uh yeah... no... abs still suck.

Anyone look at the TRX system from http://www.fitnessanywhere.com? Im usually gone 4 - 6 weeks a year from my power rack between work/vacation and i was looking at having some kinda portable gym with me... plus i was looking on adding some metabolic work in between the 3 core workouts...

Congrats on the progress with the pull-ups! Won't be too long before you want a less helpful band or even move to no assistance! Keep up the good work!

Abs during pull-ups is one of the most suprising things to me. I really noticed it when I last did pull-ups, shortly after trying to shift from reverse crunches to dragon flags - my abs were insanely sore from the dragon flags and that really impacted my pull-up attempts.

I'd do this if I had more time. I've kept food logs in the past at Fitday.com and sparkpeople.com - but I've never been able to keep it up too consistently. But, when I was doing it, it gave me some good insight into how my body responded to food, as well as keeping me honest with myself.

Bench Press 165 - 1rm

Just being able to do prones from the floor again was a nice moment... I was up to over a minute before my surgery... I want to get to 15 on my first set of pullups before ditching the band... I might just go to jumpups at that point... or maybe just no band at all? Dunno... I could only do 4 before the surgery so im not feeling too bad plus its only been 8 weeks from my surgery so im just going to have be patient (very hard for me to do).

Bench: 95lb 5x5 (Weights getting heavy, slowing down on my last 2 reps last set...)
Inverted Rows: 10, 8, 7 (feet on floor...)
Pushups (incline from bench): 12,7,7.
RevCrunch: Uh yeah... no... abs still suck... might try them tonight if i get a chance...

Fridays Workout

OHP : 70lb 2x5 , 80lb 5,5,5,4,1 (I screwed up on the weight)
DL: 110lb 1x5
Pullups: 9,7,6 band assisted, abs suck
Prones: did em... just like a big kid gkw.

Sundays Workout
Squat: 110lb 5x5
Bench: 100lb 5x5 (Weights heavy, slowing down on my last 2 reps each set, longer brakes in between)
Inverted Rows: 10,8,5 (feet on floor, abs just kill me)
Pushups (incline from bench): 11,9,9
More Prones, cause i cant get my feet off floor (abs still too sore)

Hey GKW, its not DOMS, its from my plastic surgery two months ago... as part of the procedure they pulled in my abs 5 inches and stitched them together. my abs hurt on squats, pullups, pushups, bench... pretty much everything... its a nice reminder to allways brace them before every lift.
