I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

You have . . . haven't you? :P

Nice job on the workout. Squats are moving up in weight without the knee giving you problems.

ok so I was still really "dom"ed up from sundays performance...

5 min on bike
some mobility work and foam rolling...
worked up to...

5x5 Box Squats 115lb - same weight as last time... (my first work set was actually 125lb) everything felt great in knee... hips were fine... weight was really really hard.. gonna do it again next time

5x5 ohp bench press 95lb - 2.5 min between sets - last 2 reps of last seemed like 10 second reps... (i wasnt recovering enough between sets is my guess) - 100lb next time.

1x5 dl 135lb... ok this should have been a warmup weight.... seeing how ive pulled 205 for 3x5 before... but my glutes were still really really sore from sundays single leg back extensions... so i practiced my form... ill add 50lbs next time.

Yes. I'd much rather be sick than watch one of my children be miserable.

But that goes for all of what life will throw at them. It's tempting to always want to protect them from everything but it's not my job to protect them from life. It's my job to prepare them for it.

Hope they get better soon!

Ever wonder what the perfect training program is??? My personality type takes me down this path every couple of weeks... thats why stronglifts(and those that tune into here and offer comments) helps me stay focused... I think this sums it up best... http://www.elitefts.com/documents/perfect_program.htm

Me too. I subscribe to the PowerMag.org newsletter (Ricky Dale is a bodybuilder form the Arnold time period).

He writes about people who can't stick with a program:

"Too many people are like "dust in the wind" when it comes to routines and ideas...flitting from one to the other all the time.....never having the conviction to stick to one for long periods of time......to actually see if they work....or why they work.......most answer that they cannot train the same way all the time...because it is boring.......most times in life one becomes good at something simply by doing it over and over again.....and yes it is boring....SO WHAT!"

I do not share his thought, as I like to change things up and keep it fresh. :D
