I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

4/22/09
Texas Method (Recovery Day)

Overhead Press: 5, 5, 5, 4, 4, with 130 lbs

Can't complain. I gained a rep on my 3rd set.

Barbell Row: 5, 5, 4, 4, 3, with 190 lbs

I know I was supposed to go 4 X 3 on this but since I had such a crappy Volume Day I decided to go 5 X 5 to make up for such an unsatisfactory workout.

Front Squats: 4 X 3 with 190 lbs PR!!!

Front Squats are getting heavy.

Overall: Good workout. I am going to eat more and sleep more so that I can do BJJ and Texas Method without too much issues.

Congratulations on that PR mate. I definitely agree that if you train like an animal you need to eat and sleep like one too.

4/27/09
Texas Method (Volume Day)

Squats: 5 X 5 with 265 lbs

Heavy. Form was a little sloppy towards the end. Going to redo this weight.

Bench Press: 5, 5, 5, 5, 4 with 215 lbs

MAN!!! I was like 3/4 all the way up on my 5th rep of my 5th set but couldn't go any higher. I am determined to get it next time.

Barbell Row: 5, 5, 4, 4, 4, with 190 lbs

Form was a little sloppy towards the end. I feel like BJJ is going to interfere with my Barbell Rows because of all the grabbing and pulling involved.

Weighted Dips: 3 X 5 with BW + 72.5 lbs

Weighted Pull Ups: 5, 4, 4, with BW + 15 lbs

Overall: Tough workout
