I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Got some nice flax oil. Gonna pour it on my dry curd cottage cheese, get some konbu and sesame on there... Tasty bedtime snack.
Is there an optimum time/way to eat flax oil? I know I'm not supposed to heat it, and I'm keeping it in the freezer to prolong the shelf life.
Anything else?

I've been adding flax seeds to my cottage cheese. Is this bad/pointless? If it's useful, what quantity of seeds should I be using?

Flax oil is unstable. Check the expiration date, only lasts for some weeks. Stick to flax seeds healthier.

I use flax meal - great for oatmeal etc. and adding into items for baking too. Stays in the fridge just fine too.

@oi_joe: The water-soluble tip is interesting. Thanks for that. I'll keep pouring it on that cottage cheese then.
@Mehdi: Yeah, the lable says 8 weeks. The guys at the store recommended the freezer to prolong it a bit.
@jdurando: Flax meal seems to be more easily digestible. Some info suggests that the seeds can go right through you undigested. I put a spoon of flax meal in my post-workout shakes.
@Victor and oi_joe: Flax oil a little bitter? Diddums! Shuddup and take yer medicine! :D
