I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

My name is Rob and I was recently hospitalized for heart failure. After meeting with my heart doctor, I am on new medication now and I have been given a clearance to work out. Joined a gym in my area and initially I got a trainer to run me through a program. I didn't really care for the program and began looking for ways to gain strength, and found this site.

Due to years of inactivity due to my heart condition, I could not even do the bar initially for squats, but I am happy to say after nearly 2 weeks, I am doing the bar and more.

I am doing HOMAD (Half a gallon of milk a day) instead as I already have a gut, and over the last several weeks, I have noticed that although I am not gaining or losing, I am getting stronger.

I am so glad there are excellent sites like these with so much positive information and helpful people.

I hope to contribute when I can here from my perspective and just want to say hi to everyone.
