I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

I found Stronglifts.com because I was searching for a way to get back in shape, Loose my "beer belly" and maybe keep my back from bothering me all the time. I spent 2 days reading all the material here and desided this was the plan I would try. I started by droping all the junk food 5 days ago. I have been trying to eat right.
Breakfast- Oatmeal 1-hard boiled egg- I did not eat breakfast regularly before
snack-Apple 2 hard boiled eggs
Lunch- What ever meat they are serving with rice or egg noodles depending what they are serving, vegtable-salad
snack- apple- 1 hard boiled egg
Dinner-what ever meat they are serving rice or egg noodles, vegtable and a salad.

First work out
Squat-Bar only- 5x5 form felt good
Bench-all that was available was a machine loaded it to 55lbs each side-cant coment on form it was a machine
Barbell row- Bar plus 10lbs- no mirror so I could not see my form it felt funny need to get someone to watch me
Dips-1st-6 2nd-3 3rd-2- Form was good I had a mirror to watch in.

My legs feel like jello other than that I think I am off to a good start.
Goals
Loose the belly
Squat and Bench my own weight which I think should be about 190lbs

See ya wednesday !

Day 2

Squat 5x5 - Bar plus 5 - No problems From feels good
Over Head 5x5 - Bar only - First time form felt good
Dead Lift 1x5 - Bar plus 30 - First time Form felt good
Pull up 1x3 2x2 3x1- Need to work on these- Form was good

Gotta get the glute thing down they seem to "release" for lack of a better discription on their own after I move. Standing I can squeeze them but once I do any motion I have no control on them.
Still no junk food this is a real milestone!
My back has not bothered me in days, The streching really seems to help. :D

I have started tracking total weight assuming the bar is 44lbs
WEEK 2
Monday
Squat-5x5 104 lbs
O.H. press 5X5 64 lbs
Dead 5X5 114 lbs
Pull ups 1-3 2-2 3-1

Wed
Squat 5X5 109 lbs
Bench 5X3 4X4 5X2 130 lbs
B ROW 5X5 94 lbs

Fri
Squat 5X5 114lbs
O.H. 69 lbs
Dead 5X5 124 lbs
Chin up 1-4 2-3 3-1

Over all I think I had a good week, I have been dealing with a stomach virus (or something) and have had diahrea all week, felt real "weak" on Wed. work out. Chin ups and pull up numbers are disapointing me.
