I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

You can just eat another 2000 kcals a day and make sure you get another 140 grams of protein. You'll be fine. If you can stomach that much cottage cheese, go right ahead, but I don't think you'll have an easy time.. Also, cottage cheese will not be as beneficial as whole milk, because of reasons stated on the site many times (Massive calories/protein, sat. fat for testosterone production and simple sugars to spike insulin levels and promote weight gain).

But seriously, if you want to gain weight, GOMAD isn't the only option. Just eat. Alot. Meat, fish, veggies, rice, pasta, peanutbutter, whatever high protein/calorie food you can handle. What's your stats and goals?

There are some people (myself included) who react negatively to lactase as well. My wife had a violent reaction to it!

I'm sure that a replacement could be made for milk for the lactose intolerant. I'm a big proponent of unflavoured whey protein (since it has no additives, and you can make your own decisions about what's in your shakes).

I plan on trying a GOMAD style routine this month, so I'll post my recipe + findings.

In my quick googling, I also found this thread on alternatives to milk for GOMAD.

How about a dozen eggs a day instead...
