Something strange happened today while doing squats. I had taken a few weeks off on account of the flu and traveling and work and some lower back soreness, so today was my first day lifting again in 3 weeks or so. Started at a really light weight, 115 lbs. Piece of cake... did my first set of 5. No problemo. Was so easy I decided to increase weight by 5 measly pounds. Did 3 sets... no problem.
Then on my fourth set. Get set under the bar and feel a tightness in my right thigh without actually lifting the weight. Sort of funny kindof-painful-but-not-really pain. All of a sudden I get nauseous dizzy and feel like I'm going to throw up. Decide to forgo the set and walk around a bit, my inner-back thigh starts killing me. Hard to walk, then both thighs start hurting.
I leave the gym and go home... still hurts to walk, although not unbearably so. Decided to make an appointment to see my doctor, but he's tied up until next friday. What do you think this is? The strangest part is the nausea. Hamstring? Could it be a hernia? I've heard that can happen with the nausea. I'm 32, 175lbs, 5'11" and in decent shape. Was squatting 5x5 at 175 until recently.
Anyone ever experience anything like that?
Thanks,
Jeff
