I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

So I've been doing stronglifts 5x5 for about 5 weeks, running on the C25K plan for almost 3, and eating clean (starting with sorta South Beach-ish) since January. I've been tracking my stats here:

http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key= ... PlxJ4Og3Cg

No change at all after a month of this :\ I know it's not that long but I was hoping for something. Most caloric intake calculators put me at about 2800-3000 calories/day. I eat maybe 2000-2400 on weekdays. On weekends I usually eat a couple meals of less-than-good food (pizza, unhealthy chinese, beer, etc). I know that's a problem but I wouldn't think it would be hanging me up this month. I also eat 5-6 meals a day spaced out every 2-3 hours. I drink water flavored with crystal light (not enough to make it sweet) or black coffee. I try to hit 150-200g of protein/day. I follow all of the food guidelines you'll find in any modern fitness guide, including Stronglifts (clean, raw foods; healthy fats; no processed sugars or starches).

I will say that I'm seeing some minor results visually. My muscles from climbing are coming back, but that's about it.

I'm not sure what I really need to change, so I thought I'd ask here. The only option I can see is to drop intake further to like 1800/day and see what happens :\

Keep eating, keep lifting. Fat lose is not an overnight phenomenon. Do HIIT for cardio to speed it along. Eat cleaner, stop drinking beer. If you're serious, then you need to get serious. Otherwise it will take longer, but it will get there.
2009 Goals
BP 405 1RM
OHP 245 1RM
Pull-up BW+135 1x3
Squat 425 1x3
DL 570 1x3

My training log:

Grind up to 235-240 BW keeping less than 15%BF

1) I'm not expecting it to be overnight. I would think a month is enough time to see some minor results in this regard.
2) I'm not in good enough shape to do HIIT yet, but I'll get there.
3) I am eating cleaner than I ever have in my life, and I'm working on the last bits. It's not like I gorge myself or anything.
4) I have maybe 1-2 beers some weeks. Usually I have none.

Seems to me you are getting some minor results, and everything else is fine.

HIIT is not reserved for the already in shape, do less at first and build up.

That's also in the spreadsheet. 24.4% currently, according to the accu-measure calipers.
