What am I doing here? Iam an old guy. You all look like young people to me.
I started this SLS 5X5 about 5 months back, just give it a go I thought, anyhow I have gone from nothing to SQ 81Kg, OHP 48Kg, BP 52Kg, DL 92Kg and Iam just about stuffed, form is starting to get a bit ragged.
I train alone in the shed outback so I have to be careful, however I will keep at and see how far I can go.

Hi Les
Welcome to the Forum mate!

I would recommend you start a log on here. If you can, post some videos of your lifts for constructive criticism and suggestions.

G'day Les, welcome to stronglifts.

How old is old? You're right that most of the forum members are in their 20s or 30s, but there are a handful of older guys too. Have a look at this and you can see some of their training logs. Starting one for yourself would be a great way to stay motivated, learn from other's experience, and keep a record of your progress.

Best of luck.

Thanks for the welcome, well old in my case is 56, I,am on the downhill side to retirement. With regards to training logs I have downloaded a freeware program "EvenFit" from http://www.evenfit.com, it has sections for cardio and weights etc, seems to work OK. Well Iam only training against myself, Iam not real keen on making a big song and dance about what I do, however, if I can do it anybody can, and as you know as you get older you tend to get weaker, and it takes longer to recover, but with a little bit of strength training I may be able to fend off some of the problems older people can get such as type II Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Heart disease etc, anyhow I like the challange of pushing some iron into the air. I will see what happens.

See you next time
