Hi ya'll. I'm new to this site but not to weightlifting. I've been back at it seriously since the beginning of June and have been doing my own thing. I was looking for something I could do to help with my posterior chain and I stumbled upon this site. I was reading through the information here and found the 5X5 workout. I've been blessed with good genetics for strength, but I really needed help with my technique and really just needed a program that I could be consistent with. I was kinda leary about the 5X5 at first because it only had a few lifts, but I figured, what the heck. I started it today and I was really impressed with how much it really worked. It's been about 10 years since I've did a full squat so that'll take some time to get back into. I wasn't doing full squats, but I was going below a half squat previously. I've been stuck at about 350lbs on my deadlift for about a month and a half, so this will definitely help. I'm 28 yrs old 6'2" 275lbs at 17.6% bodyfat. At the end of '06 I was almost 300 with about 33% bodyfat. It's coming off slowly and surely. I'm trying to recapture my american football career, so I've been working hard to achieve that. I still have a ways to go, but I'm working my butt off, so here's to great achievements.
