Hi, I am new to this site. I need to know what are the appropriate abs exercises for people like me who have an herniated disc and sciatica. Thanks.

I too have one. Check this

I do those before lifting, seems to work OK.

Hopefully some more experienced people can give you more advice.

Hey Ricardo, do you do those side exercises, the third video? I already bookmarked the site. I want to know where your herniated disc are located. Mine is in the low lumbar. Will it not hurt doing those side exercises? Thank you very much for your reply.

Mine is L5-S1, that's low back also. I have to say that I don't have a lot of pain now, I don't know your condition.

I do the side exercises too (second video), not with the hole leg extended, knees bent instead. When doing this exercise, if you touch the muscles to the side of your low back you will feel that they are very tight, even more than your abs. I guess it is important to keep your trunk straight.
