I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Hi folks,

Because of Mehdi's latest blog post about motivating yourself if you are alone I'm now finally taking the next step and introduce myself here to you.
I've been following the stronglifts 5x5 since 04/2009 now and I have seen great results. Before that, I trained after th Westside 4 Skinny Bastards Template from Joe DeFranco. This gave me some great results too, but was too confusing and time-consuming for me. I liked the simple approach of Sl5x5 after I stumbled over this site (searching for an introduction to properly perform the power clean, if I remember correctly).

My current body stats:
108kg
193cm
28y old
male
~25% bf

My lifting stats (all kg):
Squat: 125 (5x5)
DL: 155 (1x5)
Bench: 90 (5x5)
OHP: 62.5 (5x5)
Chin-ups: 3 in a row maximum

My goals (for now ;) ):
- at least 5 chin ups in a row
- bf down to 15%
- bench press bw
- get faster, stronger and more agile for playing american football
- better form especially on DL & Squat
- learn the power clean
- get my diet straight

So, I think I'm going to stop here. Perhaps I'll start a training log soon and post a few videos, so that someone can give me some advice on my form.

Thanks for watching me, see you soon ;-)
