    I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. :lol: But I did. Often when I try to lose bodyfat and get below 12ish % my face is the first place I lose the fat and I look like one of those starving kids in africa while still having the bellyfat I'd love to get rid off. The bellyfat is not that bad, and people around me say I'm overreacting but still I'd love it off. I'm just not happy with it.

I'm a 27 year old male weighing around 75kg, 180cm heigh and following stronglifts 5x5 currently doing 80kg squads, 40kg overheadpresses and 90kg deadlifts. I eat healthy, hardly ever drink alcohol. Do you have any advice for me to get rid of it without my face popping in?

If you're doing everything in that blog post (getting stronger, eating healthy) but not losing the belly fat, then
* you're not doing everything in the post consistently OR
* you're not doing it properly (not eating as healthy as you think, drinking more alcohol than you think, not squatting below parallel, ...)

There's no magic trick here. Everything is in the post. If you do it, you'll lose the belly fat eventually.

As far as the face popping it: at 1m80, 80kg would be better. Other than that if people say you're overreacting regarding the belly fat, you might overreact on the face thing too (maybe that's just how your face is).

Keeping a food journal can show you clearly whether you are obeying the 90% rule (90% of the time healthy/unprocessed). However I've been told that a food journal can lead to some people stopping to eat altogether (blank page =win). So remember to eat, just eat healthy.

One thing I feel important, is portion size. Learn this by counting calories at first, if nothing more than to learn how much you should actually be eating. Somebody like me, with a massive appetite, can easily overeat with healthy foods.

Compare calorie content in 500g spinach vs. 500g pasta. Portion control only makes sense if you eat the wrong foods. If you limit carb intake to post workout and focus on proteins/veggies you won't have to go over board with the calories.
