I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

I hate my lower back!

I've been complimented on how im looking, i feel stronger, etc.. but i can not fix my lower back rounding on my squat and its killing my progress! :\

But the absolute worse part of it is that its destroying my motivation, my last two workouts have been horrible and left me so mad at myself.. I'm slowly approaching the point where im thinkin a small break where i just stretch and focus on flexibility may be a positive thing, after all, its only a month!

gah!

yeah, i just needed to rant

Mehdi you're a champ, your program is awesome!

Concentrate on keeping your elbows back and and your scapulas tight as you squat. Make sure you're going straight down and not leaning forward. Those two things should help you not round out your back. Another trick I've found useful is to look up just a bit. Not at the ceiling, but just above what would be eye level through the squatting motion. Could be because I'm a short lil pisser, my back just doesn't round, but I think it's the attention to detail moreso than anything else. If it's that bad for you, you can always deload to an extent and just focus on form as you work yourself back up to your current weight.

I tend to lose technique/form when I get close to my limits on the lift. Deloading has helped me maintain good technique.

I second box squats. They teach you to stay really tight.
