I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Hi!

I'm from Gothenburg, Sweden.

I've been sitting in front of computers most of my life. They are my biggest passion. Unfortunately, the human body was not built for this. Combined with a bad diet, I was starting to lose my health. Luckily, I have friends who helped me along the right path before it had become really bad.

I started to go the gym, and educate myself about how to eat right. After months of trying to find the right routine in the gym, a friend of mine suggested I should check out Stronglifts.com. Countless hours of reading later, I decided to try out some of the routines myself. It felt good soI decided to go for the program. My first day was yesterday!

My goal is to finish the program, get rid of all my back ache, and learn to do all routines with good form.

That's me!

Welcome to the forum xms.
Glad to hear you had some good advice from a friend to get into SL.
Does your friend have a Training Log on here?
Make sure you get one started as you will get plenty of motivation from it.
Have a read here.

Good lifting.

Thank you!

My friend does not have a traning log here, he's more into a Swedish forum on this subject. He's really strong though, and I think he's doing Korte's 3x3.

I will, thanks for the link!

Hi.
I'm from New Jersey and I have been disappointed as of late, because I never failed a tape test for the military and this was the first that it has ever happened to me. I measured in at 25% body fat and I was devastated and determined more than ever to try and do something else. I began to research online for hundreds of routines and what would actually tell me the truth about nutrition. So I decided I wanted to be a bodybuilder to keep me motivated not to ever slack off again. I stumbled upon stronglifts and the information was straight forward and not too scientific for the everyday person to understand. My wife and I began last week and it is amazing what the nutrition has done for our livelihoods. I don't get sleepy even though I wake up four days a week to work out and the 5x5 is amazing! I am currently at a 40"neck with a 17.5" waist 5'8" at 217lbs. Today was the first we implented HIIT and we are looking to increase it come Monday. My goals are to get a 36"waist, 18" neck and get down to 206lbs or lower. The progress is great, but looking to eventually get my pro card and compete.
