I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. But I did. These guys have been a great help and encouragement through some tough times for me and they probably don't even realize it. - Pagangoddess

Hey guys,

I've recently found out that my thighs have trigger points all over them, and I have a feeling this is causing my knee soreness during squats. I actually feel soreness sometimes throughout my entire thigh during squats, not just my knees. I've found these trigger points using my elbows and a tennis ball. This is extremely painful, and I was wondering if I could get the correct foam-rolling equipment and take care of the task with that. Is it necessary that I use a tennis ball instead? Sometimes it hurts so bad I'd rather squat 1RMs every day of the week than doing it.

Tennis balls and such are great for certain areas, but they only get you so far. Foam rolling is right for everybody. Do yourself a favor and invest in a good roller.

4" PVC works great. Hurts like hell at first but after a few sessions I can do my ITB with very little pain.
