is this an accurate way of measuring your BF%?

This says I am 11% body fat, and i am quite skinny so it would make sense but i was just wondering if this was an accurate way of measuring BF? you input your age, weight, waist, hips, forearm and wrist measurements.

And if I am 11% bf then for stronglifts should I bother with cardio?

Thanks.

Get a fat caliper, it only costs 10$ http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000G7YW74?tag ... 42NG29CD6&

No need for cardio if you're less than 15% body fat.

No, there's nothing wrong with it, but no need to get twisted about making sure you get it in either. If you're below 15%bf than you are more than likely at least somewhat active. At least that tends to hold true here in the states.

As far as measuring bf like that, it's more a good guesstimate than a true measurement. Fine for getting a ball park idea of where you're at, but I wouldn't stand by the numbers at all. The fat calipers are much more accurate if you want some good numbers.

All measurements are guesstimates, it's just that some are better guessers than others. FWIW, the measurement that I got from this site is very close (less than one-half percent) to the measurement that I get from an Accu-Measure 3000 caliper. Both differ significantly from my Tanita electronic scale, which says that I am five percent fatter than the other two measurements. Regardless of readings, I am going to keep at it until I see six abs in the mirror instead of one large one.

FWIW -- I got my body fat tested last week by one of the fancy infrared (or maybe it's UV?) sensors at my gym and it was 21.8% . Using that website (and only semi-accurate measuring), it told me that I was 22.2% body fat. So it seems like those measurements are at least in the neighborhood of being accurate.

You have 16.5% body fat.

You have 13.2 Kilograms of fat and 66.8 Kilograms of lean (muscle, bone, body water).

I'm not sure if its just me or this thing, but I'm sure my body fat is way higher that 16.5%. IDK, my BF% should be around 20-25% due to my pretty obvious love handles. A friend of mind keeps telling me that I'm getting fat too, though I keep telling her its all muscle. Maybe its just a perception thing. :/

these calculators are pretty unaccurate for people who are on extreme ends of the fat/skinny spectrum.
I have really thin wrists, and calculators like these used to tell me i had 4% body fat even when i had a bit of a protruding stomach.

I wish I knew too. My new trainer measured me a week ago but did my BF% on a scale. He came up with 29%. I did this website and got 24.5%. I'm going to try fat calipers and see what I come up with. I feel more like 25%
