    I really debated about starting a log. This journey gets very personal at times. It's hard to announce to the world things you didn't even want to admit to yourself. But that's why I did it. It needed to be right in front of me so I could deal with it head on. And I needed support to get through it. Who would have thought I'd find that here of all places. :lol: But I did. ok, it said that 18 x bosyweight was maintenance, so how have i managed to put on 10lbs in three weeks? even though i havent noticed any visually, i must have put on some muscle cause my bench has shot up, but my waist is bigger, and my body fat scales say ive gone up 3% body fat. im an endomorph, so fat is a real issue for me, i am doing tabata/hiit cardio 2/3 times weekly, as well as sl 5x5 (obv), but the fat isnt shifting. will the fat eventually start melting away? i eat whole clean foods, no carbs accept pre and post workout, pre i have a large meal of 40-50g protein, 80g carbs and about 20g fat, post, 40g protein, 80g low gi oats, creatine. i get plenty of protein and fats during the day.

Try dropping down the intake a little. Remember that 18x bw is not an exact science, it's an estimate. Your dietary choices sound good. Just adjust your intake until you reach a good number for you.

you can see he went up alot of weight, then he went down again. and from what i could gather, it seemed like when he went down again, so did his fat. which must mean his muscles were getting bigger!

anyhow its true what l_d says, i think you should cut the intake a little. i know i do average 3000kcal when according to the 18x bw i should be doing 3400kcal... still i dont seem to lose weight at any astonishing rate. if anything i've gained like 1lbs or something!!

also, because you eat carbs, i would recommend you dont get plenty of fats during the day. some fat but not plenty... read everything here http://stronglifts.com/anabolic-diet/
